113 Down, 37 To Go; Sites Reduce Overdue CAPA Items
In January 2015, the CAPA Site Leads were challenged with reducing all overdue CAPA items to zero by April 9th. Although there are still two weeks to go, the CAPA teams at each site have done great work in reducing this number significantly. In December 2014 there were 150 overdue items in the CAPA system. As of 3/26/15, the number is 37. The success is attributed to the cross functional collaboration of Site leadership, CAPA owners, and department managers. One site in particular stands out as having made a tremendous improvement. Guadalajara had 53 overdue items in December. Currently there are 2. Good work team, and keep it up as we approach April 9th!

Results @ Work
Social Worker goes the extra mile

Debbie Balcerak, MSW does everything she can to make sure the patients at FMCNA Portage have every resource that they need. Recently, Debbie was informed of a patient whose living conditions were less than desirable. Debbie had remembered hearing about a project called Rebuilding Together Portage, Inc. that provides extensive home rehabilitation and modification services to low-income homeowners. Debbie submitted an application for one of our patients who was then selected to have her home rehabilitated. We are sure Debbie would say that she is "just doing her job", but we all want to thank Debbie for being such an integral part of our team and an awesome patient advocate!
